It’s been great to hear kind comments of yours on my photos. Some of you did give very generous comments. Some of you also did ask for tips. My camera composition improved right after I attended this work shop conducted by Grace, owner of Integricity Visuals, one of our sister company. Here is your chance, for the price of RM150, you could learn, add value and improve your photoshooting skills.
You will also get a chance to do a practical outdoor(that’s the fun part) once you learnt the theory. Do let me know if you are interested.
I was telling auntie Audrey, “A night boating down in the Selangor River and the next night spent in the Palace. Palace of the Golden Horses, that is.” The leaders from various ministries met together for a 1 nighter to discuss on ministry matters. Not entirely a working retreat but more on Fellowship and Discussion.
Before going off to the hotel, that morning, I was shooting some photos for these cute little ones.
What most of us bring home is that, ministry is always about people. Everything we do will one way or another linked to people even if you are in the IT ministry. And people being people will be difficult to manage and it will be normal to have relational issues sometimes. As ministry leaders, we got to be aware of this and will a intimate relationship vertically with our Lord, we will learn to see horizontally each individual as unique and loved in God’s eyes.
Secondly, do not underestimate mamak sessions or sharing a meal. There are values there that cannot be quantify. So do it more often with people in your ministry.
Apart from that, rooms were nice and it was a good rest.
Went to Jason Mraz concert yesterday evening at Stadium Negara.
It all started few months back when Charissa and Sara when and queue up to buy tickets for Jason Mraz concert. Early birds get discounted price.
Arrived at Stadium Negara quite early
However, people were already queuing up to get the best view.
We were at the “Rock Zone”. Ticket price RM138. Stood right in front of the PA system and Jason Mraz’s PA team.
Projector were screening this digital poster
Many fans wore a hat, the trademark of Mr. Mraz
Those who are short are smart enough not to cramp in the middle of the crowd but to find a place with railing so that they can climb up the “sycamore” railing, for the singer they wanted to see.
When the stage manager came on stage to do some last minute sound checking and tuning, people were screaming thinking that he was Jason Mraz.
Stadium were almost full
Finally, the man himself appear on stage. The crowd went wild and started to scream
Some nice lighting on the ceiling
I must say, not only he is a good singer and talented musician, he has showmanship too.
The guys with the stripe tshirts, they are the one who blow the trumpets / saxaphone. Jason Mraz did sang Lucky, but some “pariah” asian girl(no offense but there are better asian lady singer than her) duet with him. Spoilt the song, really.
Mraz and team bids farewell. He was wearing an I love KL tshirt.
It was an awesome concert. Look at their satisfied look.
Here’re 2 video for you to have a feel how the stadium atmosphere was like. Crowd was singing along with him.
One day, I asked Pek Zhan a question, then she asked me sarcastically(I thought), “You wanna go fly kite?” When I reconfirmed, she literally invited me to go fly kite with them. So, here we are, Integricitizens with some friends went to this big field in Selayang to fly kite. It was fun!
This is Charissa, trying to gaya lah.
Ray told us that this is his first time flying a kite.
Shane came and join us for fun too. He kept laughing when he held the string as the kite flew in the sky. Then he actually kept looking back at his mommy and daddy trying to tell them that he was flying a kite.
Senior Art director, Mike Lian joined in the fun too.
Follen bought a RM25 “fish” kite. In the end, could not fly. What you expect, Follen? It’s a fish…. haha. Good thing the guy changed another kite for her.
Pek Zhan having fun with Shane too
Mike in his excitement and Lianne looked on at her kite
Attempt #349. Nick helping out Follen to fly her kite
The sky darkens
But people still semangat flying their kites…
This is a lovely outing. I recommend for young and old, those couple who doesn’t know what to do for the weekend, this is a good choice. They do sell kites at the range of RM15 – RM50 and have many varieties. Bring some food for picnic too. It’s a nice park.
Kites for sale
How to get there? Just drive along LDP from PJ to Kepong. After the toll, use the fly-over. As you approach Batu Caves, stop taking the fly-over, instead, keep to your left lane and drive into a roundabout. Take a 6 o’clock turn(U-turn lah). About 1km after that, you will see the park on your left after the Shell Petrol station. You won’t miss it as you will be able to see many kites flying in the sky.
Thanks Pek Zhan and Follen for organizing this. It was fun!
As some of you know, Aaron Tan and Yip Wei have both become dadda and mama about 6 – 7 weeks ago. Being proud parents, they threw a party to celebrate life for baby Joshua. This is one way big celebration for a baby’s full moon. That’s what happened when you have a dad who works in the hotel line.
They even have a banner for baby Joshua
Food ready to be served
Bro once told me, you need these little heat to keep the food warm to avoid bacteria from growing that causes food poisoning
Yup, satay satay…
People queuing up for the food.
It’s a feast!
Another tradition for fullmoon
God bless you indeed
Here you go, the celebrated one
This is my son whom I am well beloved – Aaron Tan
They say mothers like to count their babies’ toes right after when they were born. I wonder if Yip Wei did that.
Motherly instinct kicked in for Luanne.
It was a beautiful evening
Krystle’s grumpy coz there’s school the next day
No, that’s not my kid. This is my friend, Nate.
Anyone up for a mini Cornetto?
Within a month, I saw different aspects of life. Some celebrate life, at the same time a week ago someone else mourned in death of their loved one, some celebrate love and anniversaries of their birthdays, rushing for their datelines be it work or studies, while others were wondering where is their true love on that faithful day. Some are worried of the uncertainty of the economy and some have already been told to leave because the company could no longer sustain them.
