Integricity’s Mini Food Trip

Integricitizens had our first trip up north during the weekend. It was a 1-day trip up till Ipoh. Let the adventure begin. As usual, you can click on the images to enlarge.

Our first stop was at the Bidor's Ngap Tui Min (duck thigh noodle). The soup in the container tasted better than the one we had in our noodle for some reason. On the left, it is the dry chicken mushroom noodle. It tasted good. The wu-kok is a must-try if you ever go to Pun Chun restaurant. You could really taste the yam when you eat it. It was lovely till the extent that Eugene packed a box for his grandparents.

After braving the trunk road of big truck road bullies, we reached Teluk Intan. Headed towards the tower and did the "tourist" thing there. Here are some pictures of Teluk Intan's Leaning Tower with Integricitizens inside.

As you can see, we are having fun posing for pictures in the tower. The trio were Olivia, TJ and Sonia.

After which, we went to Ah Chai rojak near the tower. Here they serve coconut water and rojak. It was not the best rojak I have eaten. However, the difference with this rojak was there're pieces of mangoes in the mix. You can actually taste some "prawn-taste" there.

After Teluk Intan, we headed towards Ipoh for lunch. It took us quite a while to reach Ipoh as Eugene decided to go along with the GPS' advise and go through the Palm Oil Plantations. Here's Lou Wong Chicken rice. According to the locals, there another shop next door which serves better chicken rice. Nevertheless, I like the rice and the fishballs here.

After lunch, it was dessert time! So we went to have the smoothest tau foo fa in town. Really smooth... The group pic was taken outside this shop where we bought the egg-yolk and meat floss biscuits.

Somewhat not satisfied, Mike suggested we go to Indulgence, Restaurant & Living. It is one of the most expensive dessert place in town. With Siew Hwan's help, we went there. Surpisingly, it was really nearby from the place we had our chicken rice (Gunung Rapat, I think). Here you go, indulge! Spent RM182 on all these. OMG.

I was testing out the GPS function on iPhone 3Gs. It works splendidly guiding us out from Ipoh to the toll gate at Simpang Pulai. Loved this new-found toy. It enables me to tweet and updates with pics along the whole journey as well as responding to comments on my FB page about my trip. I heart iPhone. =)

Well, it has been a caloriefic week! This coming week shall be a Detoxification week. Till my next post, enjoy life to the fullest!
