As some of you know, I went MIA last weekend. My colleagues and I went for a beach holiday in Tekek Village, Tioman Island. About 4 hours of land journey and another 1.5 hours of Ferry Ride before we reach our destination. Mike, Rabin and Nick went there solely for a relaxing holiday and drinking purpose. It’s duty free there. As for me and Chui, we were there to take our Open Water license and Advance Water respectively.

Welcome to Coral Reef. The place where we did our dive and stay. It’s about RM65 per dive with minimum of 5 – 6 dives. Quad sharing accomodation is RM75 for 2 nights.
The liquor there is really cheap. Hoegaarden - RM5, Carlsberg RM2, Heineken - RM2.5, Vodka - RM48, Midori - RM60, Chivas - about RM80
It's really therapeutic doing devotion by the seaside with the waves crashing. This is an evening view. Our chalet is smacked right in front of the beach.

Post dive. We cannot stay in the water for too long or else we will get Decompression Sickness. DCI makes you dizzy and really sick and cost a lot for treatment. You will have to be treated in an Oxygen chamber if it's really bad.
Finally, I passed the test.

2. It’s easy to meet new friends. Everyone is so easy going there. We met a Lutheran Church Group there together with the Pastor. His name is Thomas. Despite him having polio, a condition where he could not use one of his legs, he still went diving.
